2024 Letter to Donors
As 2024 came to a close, we reflected on the life of Eric Bader and the foundation we formed in his honor.
Eric was an exceptional artist, a top-ranked Ironman competitor, and a brilliant finance executive, but more than that, his legacy is his children for whom he was both dad and coach. His empathy and dedication extended beyond his family; it was important to him that all dedicated athletes have the same opportunities that his children have.
In his honor, this year we founded the Eric Jason Bader Foundation. In our inaugural year, we raised over $50,000, much of which has been committed to outstanding mission-oriented causes.
We endowed a scholarship at Asphalt Green for underserved players in Eric’s name.
We are supporting worthy nonprofits in New York City.
Hit the Books provides educational and athletic opportunities to Underserved youth, fostering their academic and athletic development.
Counseling in Schools delivers vital mental health services and resources directly within New York City schools supporting students’ emotional well-being.
We have pledged to increase our involvement and support to both in 2025.
A special thank you to the Rechler Family, and specifically Lindsay Rechler, author of “The Shoelace Between Us”, a heartwarming book inspired by Eric and his son Jordan, that tells the story of a young boy who is coping with the loss of his father. This is a powerful and inspiring story about healing and resilience in the face of loss. All proceeds from the sale of the book go directly to The Eric Jason Bader Foundation.
Our mission is to honor Eric’s legacy by continuing to raise funds to provide opportunities for young athletes.
We are beyond grateful for all of your support. Thank you! We look forward to exceeding our 2024 fundraising next year.
In Gratitude,
The Eric Jason Bader Foundation
